Christ is Risen!

I'm back, my lovely friends! I missed you all!! <3 For Lent this year, I decided to give up blogging. I'm sorry I left you all without saying anything! But I'm back from a much needed hiatus, and I wanted to say CHRIST IS RISEN!!
This is me and my siblings watching the service throwing flower petals to celebrate Christ defeating Hades, which is celebrated the Saturday morning before Easter. I'm in the white dress with blue flowers... my face, lol.
And this was our living room after. ;)
In the Eastern Orthodox Church, Easter (which we call 'Pascha [pah-skuh]) is often celebrated on a different date than Western Easter, and this year it fell on the Sunday after Western Easter. Although we spent Pascha at home this year, it was still just as joyous and tons of fun!

This is us outside with our candles and handbells, awaiting Christ's Resurrection.
Come ye take light from the Light
That is never overtaken by night.
Come and glorify Christ
Risen from the dead.
On the Friday before Pascha, we commemorate Christ's burial. This was the bier we made for Him, and when He Resurrected, we placed this saying in His place.
We watched our Church's livestream which started at 10pm Saturday night, celebrated the Resurrection of Christ around 11pm, and after the service (which ended at about 1am) we broke the fast with meat and cheese and lots of desserts!

Christ is risen from the dead
Trampling down death by death
And upon those in the tombs
Bestowing life

I hope you all had an amazing Easter! I'm so excited to be back, and I have some pretty cool posts planned... look for me in your inbox!

What did you do to celebrate Easter? What's your favorite Easter candy? What do you want to see from me in the coming weeks?
